Recent plankton studies show that Globorotaloides hexagonus adapts its morphology in Oxygen Minimum Zones (OMZs) through variations in porosity size and chamber number (Davis et al., 2021). Building on this, our project investigates whether similar trends can be observed in fossil G. hexagonus. Using AI-assisted software (Amira™ 3D) to enhance porosity analysis efficiency, the study was carried out in close international collaboration with the University of Hamburg.
